The Wide Significance Of Accuracy

Accuracy index is the size error and geometric error of the parts processed by the die. Accuracy is maintained throughout the life of the die. Accuracy not only reflects the manufacturing accuracy and assembly accuracy of the die itself, but also relates to the use conditions of the die, the properties of the material processed, the forming process and other factors. Precision is a concept that must be established by die makers and users, as follows.


  1. The accuracy of the parts is the direct reflection of the manufacturing accuracy of the mould itself. The mould must guarantee the three requirements of the production of the parts, the shape, size and position accuracy of the parts must meet the technical requirements of the drawing, the interchangeability of the parts produced in batches or in batches, and the accuracy and reliability of the mould in the long-term use process. This requires that the precision of die design and manufacturing must be higher than that of parts, generally higher than that of parts 2 or more.


2. Die clearance is the main index of die design and manufacture. In order to ensure the dimensional and geometric accuracy of stamping parts, plastic parts and die castings, as well as the quality of parts (such as cross-section quality of stamping parts and burr height of plastic parts and wall thickness of die castings, etc.), the gap between convex and concave dies (or core and cavity) must be ensured. If the gap between convex and concave dies is regarded as the closed ring of die assembly dimension chain, in order to meet the precision requirement of the closed ring, it should be adjusted and assembled according to the compensation ring of the dimension chain. For some incorrect compensation methods, such as hammering, plug, etc., it is not suitable for the die with precision requirements. Therefore, improving the processing accuracy of die parts and positioning and assembling accuracy of upper and lower dies (or movable and fixed dies) is the only way to achieve the precision of closed ring of die assembly dimension chain, which is also one of the reasons for the high requirement of die design and manufacturing accuracy.


3. The design and manufacturing accuracy of the die itself is one of the main contents of evaluating the quality of the die. It involves the whole process of the die parts processing, outsourcing (including materials and standard parts) and the assembly, test, acceptance, packaging and transportation of the die.
