It is used for precision processing of various cylindrical deep hole parts such as hydraulic cylinders and steam cylinders.It can be honed either as a whole or locally. During local honing, the taper, ellipticity and local hole diameter errors of the workpiece being processed can be corrected.

1. Machine Brief :

1.1 Processing Capacity :

Hole diameter range: Φ50~Φ500mm

Max. Honing depth: 6000mm

Max. Workpiece length: 6000mm

 

1.2 Machine functions and application:

It is used for precision processing of various cylindrical deep hole parts such as hydraulic cylinders and steam cylinders.

It can be honed either as a whole or locally. During local honing, the taper, ellipticity and local hole diameter errors of the workpiece being processed can be corrected.

The expansion and contraction of the honing head is controlled by a servo motor, which can not only achieve constant pressure feed of the honing head but also achieve quantitative feed of the honing head.

The function introduction of constant pressure feed: The total feed pressure remains unchanged, but during the honing process, the roughness of the machined surface continuously decreases, and the contact points between the oilstone (also known as the honing strip) and the surface continuously increase. As a result, the unit pressure exerted by the oilstone on the surface correspondingly decreases, causing the cutting effect of the oilstone to continuously decline. During processing, when encountering high points, it processes in a constant pressure manner, thus preventing a sudden increase in the load of the spindle motor. In the processing, the controllable and uniformly distributed pressure can achieve an extremely excellent processing surface, with the highest precision reaching ra0.2.

Introduction to the function of quantitative feed: The oilstone always forces expansion feed at a predetermined speed. After the honing head enters the hole and rapidly expands to approach the surface of the workpiece, forcing the oilstone to expand will cause a self-sharpening effect. This feed method not only achieves a lower surface roughness but also has the ability to correct the geometric shape error of the correction hole.

The mixed feed mode combining constant pressure feed and quantitative feed can effectively improve the honing accuracy and efficiency.

 

1.3 Oil supply mode of honing head : External oil spray , Internal oil feeding

During the honing process, the incoming oil and the incoming oil are respectively delivered to the workpiece through the oil pump, among which the incoming oil directly enters through the workpiece wall. The incoming oil flows out along the honing tool through the gaps inside the tool bar, allowing the honing oilstone to fully contact for better lubrication and cooling effects. It also helps to clean the iron filings after processing in a timely manner and improve the surface processing quality.

 

1.4 Workpiece clamping :(spindle box used for workpiece rotation is optional)

The workpiece is placed on two sets of V-shaped workpiece brackets and locked with a pipe wrench chain. The V-shaped bracket can be manually adjusted to accommodate the clamping of workpieces with different diameters.

1.5.2 CNC axis :

Z1 axis: The longitudinal feed movement of the honing box (honing head reciprocating movement), the servo motor drives the rack and pinion mechanism through the reducing mechanism.

Z2 axis: Control the expansion of honing head, the servo motor drives the ejector pin to move axially through reducing mechanism .

 

1.5.3 Machine bed :

The bed body is cast with resin sand and then normalized after casting. After two aging treatments, internal stress is eliminated, the structure and size are stabilized, and mechanical properties are improved, etc.

Linear guide rails are installed on the bed body for the reciprocating movement of the cutting tool, meeting the requirement of high-speed movement in honing.

The bed body is equipped with a rack for tool feed transmission. The rack has undergone precise processing and heat treatment, ensuring stable transmission.

Oil collection trays are installed around the bed body to protect the workshop environment.

1.5.4 Honing box:

It is used to drive the tool to rotate, and the tool speed is steplessly adjustable.

The servo motor drives the main shaft to rotate through a gear reduction box. The gears are precisely ground and the tooth surfaces are treated with high-frequency quenching, with a tooth surface hardness of HRC48-52. This enables the gears to achieve high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance and high fatigue limit, and can withstand relatively large alternating loads and impact loads.

The main shaft is supported by a combination of cylindrical roller bearings and thrust ball bearings. The main shaft has high precision and can withstand relatively large axial and radial forces.

In order to increase the service life of gears and bearings, lubricating oil is adopted for lubrication.

 

1.5.5 Workpiece carrier:

2sets, used to support the workpiece .

The V-shaped structure is controlled by the forward and reverse lead screws to align and move the two bevels of the V-shaped structure.

After the workpiece is placed on the bracket, the workpiece is manually locked using the pipe chain.

The V-shaped beveled edge is equipped with a pad with anti-slip function, which can effectively prevent the workpiece from rotating during the processing.

1.5.6 Honing bar support rest

Support the honing rod during the processing and measurement.

3 sets: One set is fixed on the bed, and the other two sets move on the linear guide rails of the bed.

1.5.7 Coolant system

Provide lubricating fluid for the cutting tools.

It is mainly composed of pumps, paper bag filters, magnetic roller filters, oil tanks, etc.

Two oil supply methods, external oil injection and internal oil intake, can be provided for the cutting tool, and the conversion can be selected on the operation station.

It can detect the pressure, flow rate, liquid level and temperature of the cooling system in real time.

The cooling system is equipped with an oil temperature chiller to enhance processing efficiency and quality.
