Description
1. **Machine Tool Overview**
1.1 **Processing Capacity**
- Maximum broaching force: 6 tons
- Maximum workpiece length: 1100 mm
- Workpiece outer diameter range: 15–75 mm
1.2 **Machine Configuration**
- Single-spindle design, intended for broaching coaxial holes in shaft-type components.
1.3 **Motion System**
- Workpiece remains stationary during operation.
- Cutting tool rotates (X-axis) and retracts (Z-axis), with X- and Z-axis coordinated movement.
1.4 **Workpiece Clamping**
- A cone disc is mounted at the front of both the steady rest and the hydraulic tailstock.
- Hydraulic control moves the tailstock spindle axially to automatically clamp and position the workpiece via its end chamfer and the cone disc.

1.7 **Spindle Assembly**
- An AC servo motor drives the spindle through a servo reducer, synchronous belt, and pulley, enabling stepless speed adjustment.

- Spindle drive features pre-positioning, which helps protect the main motor and allows for convenient tool changes.
- Spring collets (ER40 specification) are fitted at the spindle front for manual tool clamping.

1.8 **Hydraulic Tailstock**
- Used for workpiece clamping.
- A cone disc is mounted on the right end of the tailstock spindle.
- Hydraulic control allows axial movement of the spindle to clamp or release the workpiece, with a spindle travel of 30 mm.
- The tailstock is mounted on linear guideways and can be adjusted manually along the axis to accommodate workpieces of varying lengths.
- Locking blocks are used to manually secure the tailstock to the machine table.

1.9 **Tool Feed System**
- A servo motor drives a ball screw via a servo reducer, providing stepless speed control for tool feeding.
1.10 **Steady Rest**
- Used for supporting the workpiece.
- Fixed to the machine bed, with a cone disc installed at its left end.

1.11 **Base Components**
- Machine bed, T-slotted worktable, housing, and other structural parts are resin-sand castings and undergo double aging treatment.
- The bed coolant return chute is inclined to prevent fluid accumulation.
