BTA Deep Hole Drilling And Boring Machine Introduction

BTA drilling is a high-efficiency deep hole drilling process for metals, handling diameters from 20mm+ and depth-to-diameter ratios up to 400:1. It outperforms conventional methods (e.g., twist drills or gundrilling) with cleaner cuts, higher feed rates, and larger diameters.

Key Features:

Uses a threaded/mounted tool head with multiple carbide cutting edges.

High-pressure coolant flushes chips out through the drill tube and spindle.

Also called STS (Single Tube System) drilling, differing from dual-tube ejector drilling. Ideal for precision, high-volume deep hole machining.

Bearings gears adopts Spray-type circulating oil lubrication with external pumps for easy maintenance.

4. Oil Containment: Devices on headstock and oil feeder recover and return leaked oil

Drill bar Support: Auto-return mechanism retracts supports during tool withdrawal.

 

5. Guides tools, supplies oil, and supports drill rods. Servo-driven axial movement (torque/position modes). High-rigidity rotary bearings and external seals for easy maintenance

6. Ground-mounted welded tank with partitions for debris settling. Digital display for pressure, level, temperature, and flow.

Optional modules: chip conveyor, drum filter, oil cooler, etc.

 

 

7. Lubrication System: Timed lubrication for slideways with low-level alarms. Independent external oil tanks for headstock and drill box bearing and gears with low-level alarms. . Manual pumps for oil pressure head and support slides.

 

8. Servo-Driven Movement: Servo motors and reducers drive gear racks for oil pressure head and carriage motion.
