1.2 Machine Functions and Applications

This machine is designed for the precision finishing of various cylindrical deep-hole components, such as hydraulic cylinders​ and pneumatic cylinders. It is capable of performing both full-length honing​ and localized (partial) honing​ operations. During localized honing, it can correct inaccuracies in the workpiece, including taper (conicity), ovality (out-of-roundness), and local bore diameter errors.

The expansion and contraction of the honing tool (honing head)​ is precisely controlled by a servo motor. This allows for both constant pressure feed​ and fixed quantity feed​ of the honing head during the machining process.
