Brief of deep hole drilling and boring machine : 

 

The BTA deep hole drilling and boring machine has functions of solid drilling , push boring ,pull boring, fine boring, trepanning, burnishing , just meed to replace different cutting tools . 

 

Solid drilling : Make a hole from the solid material .

Push boring : Start from the inlet of hole , feed forward, remove material to expand the hole larger

Pull boring : Start from the outlet of hole, feed backward , remove material to expand the hole larger. By pull boring, it can achieve better hole straightness .

Fine boring : Remove material to improve the surface roughess of hole , it is performed after push / pull boring .

Trepanning : Make a hole from the solid material , meanwhile get another solid the core from center of the raw material . If the material is very expensive , for example the aluminum alloy,Inconel 718, customer can think about this processing method.

Burnishing : Performed after fine boring process , to achieve the surface roughness Ra0.2~Ra0.8 .

 

And ,with special designed cutting tools , it can be used to processing the irregualar-shaped holes as well .

Machining accuracy:

 

1. Rough boring and drilling hole :

Hole size accuracy : IT9~IT11

Surface roughness : Ra6.3~ Ra 12.5μm

Hole skewness: 0.5mm/1000mm

 

2. Fine boring hole :

Hole size accuracy: IT8~IT9

Surface roughness: Ra1.6-3.2μm

Straightness of finished hole: less than 0.10/1000mm
